Nowadays, a huge number of people can’t seem to find the time to work out. And it is common knowledge that maintaining an active lifestyle simply needs to be one of our top priorities in life.
Considering that most of us have a busy schedule, it is really hard to keep an eye on fitness. But there is a way to change that awful habit of not working out regularly!
Take a look at our tips that could help you do that!
The early bird catches the worm
Become an AM exerciser! AM exercisers get their workouts done first thing in the morning. And that doesn’t mean that they sacrifice sleep for exercise, they are just more efficient with their time than the rest of us.
Turn in earlier every night and set the alarm few hours before you have to go to work.
If you really want to get as much sleep as possible, put on your workout clothes and go to bed. As soon as your alarm goes off in the morning, get up and get to it.
Commute means workout
We all have those days when it is simply impossible to find enough time for a proper workout. We wake up, throw a few things in our backpack and rush out.
But, have you considered turning your commute into a workout? That way you can fit in an interesting little workout in your stacked day!
For example, you could go to work as you would normally do, but instead of getting on a bus and going back home afterwards, you could jog.
Running is awesome as it is a great cardio workout that can also be tons of fun. It would be even better if you could cycle to work every day.
Many believe that cycling is more fun than running and there is no doubt that it is an efficient way of transportation.
Efficient lunch break
When you have a lunch break, make sure that you use those precious 60 minutes the best way possible.
It would be awesome if you could hit the gym during your break, but a simple walk can also be a good workout. Just remember to pack your gym clothes.
If you want to look both smart and sporty without having to devote a huge portion of your backpack to the workout clothes, check out Ryderwear, since they combine functionality and fashion like no one else.
So, even if you only take a walk, you’ll see the results.
That way, you’ll keep your waistline in check and isn’t it better to do something good for your body instead of sitting at your desk and eating?
Eat on the go if you have to, just avoid sitting and doing nothing!
This piece of advice comes from Michael George, a renowned personal trainer.
Michael explained to us how to be time efficient at the gym while doing cardio exercise on a treadmill. “Hop on a treadmill holding a three- to five-pound dumbbell in each hand, and set the speed to a brisk walk.
Do a one-minute set each of shoulder presses, biceps curls, triceps extensions, side laterals, front laterals, and standing triceps kickbacks one after another as you walk.
It’s an amazing upper-body challenge that also gets your heart pumping. Do this series two or three times each week. As you improve, work up to doing four-minute sets.”
We’d say that this is quite an efficient way to spend those rare minutes some of us have at the gym! Thanks, Michael!
Leisure time transformation
Leisure time is essential for our mental health and you have to make some space for it in your schedule.
But, did you know that you can transform that time into an easy and fun workout?
You won’t miss out on your favorite show since you won’t have to go anywhere. Clear up some space between the couch and the TV and start doing push-ups.
Add crunches and squats and you should see the results in no time. For a bigger challenge, get dumbbells and jump rope involved. It is both fun and efficient!
Are you ready to change your lifestyle for the better? These tips are simple, but they are quite effective, so start as soon as you can and be persistent! Nothing can change overnight.
