5 Benefits of Essential Amino Acids

So, if you have been working out, then you probably have your favorite supplements that you take before or after training.

Obviously, the most popular supplement out there is protein. But there is one thing that you, perhaps, haven’t been paying attention to.

Proteins are made out of amino acids, but what does that mean?

You might have seen that on the label, but perhaps you simply let it slide.

Well, these amino acids are the actual reason why protein is good and important for you.

So, amino acids are there to give your body whatever it needs at that very time. Some amino acids can be used by your body in more than one way.

We are talking about three groups of amino acids – leucine, isoleucine and valine.

These three together are called BCAAs (Branched-chain Amino Acids), but why are they so important and what are the actual benefits of amino acids?

1. Essential Amino Acids improve your performance

The most important and the most obvious benefit of amino acids is the fact that it improves your performance in sports.

By taking good amino acids, your body becomes stronger, and thus is responds better to the workout. Apart from that, it’s easier to stay focused on the actual workout.

This means that you will work out much more efficiently and thus have better results.

2. Essential Amino Acids let you burn fat faster

Another benefit is the improved fat-burning metabolism, which means that you can bid farewell to the unwanted belly fat.

Of course, you will have to pay attention to how much you work out and what exercises you are doing, but the result will be amazing.

Finding high-quality amino acid supplements in Australia should, for example.

Not be very difficult as plenty of people there use them in order to show their bodies while surfing (and you know that surfing there is a national sport).

Just like in Australia, you will be able to find good supplements anywhere else in the world. But you will have to do a bit of research in order to find the best ones.

3. Essential Amino Acids increase your endurance

How many times did you just call it quits during a workout because your body was exhausted? Probably a lot, and this is where amino acids come to your rescue.

Amino acids actually change the way your body uses carbs and fat. To all of you who do not know, carbs and fat is your body’s fuel and it needs this in order to perform in the best possible way.

With the help of amino acids, your body will use this fuel in a more effective way. Thus increasing your endurance and giving you more stamina in the long run.

4. They help your muscles grow

Leucine, one of the important amino acids, is the main culprit for this one.

Because of the strain and the stress of the workout and the stress you put your muscles under, leucine is the amino acid that will make your muscles grow.

This is an amazing option for everyone who wants to pump their muscles just a little bit.

And even though you can find amino acids in most of the protein supplements, it would be a good idea to opt for amino acid supplements only.

5. They will keep you mentally focused

Another benefit of amino acids is the fact that they improve your short-term memory and your processing abilities.

On top of that, they will keep you mentally focused (as already mentioned). Which means that you will get through your workout in a much more efficient way.

Amino acids can do wonders for your body, but you need to pay attention to how much you take and when.

Check with your personal trainer (or a trainer at the gym) if you should take separate amino acids or you can go with the dosage in the regular protein supplements.

No matter the method you opt for, you shouldn’t miss out on all the benefits amino acids provide.
