High Protein Three Bean And Turkey Slow Cooker Chili

This easy slow cooker chili uses lean ground turkey and a whole lotta beans! Top this with your favorite chili toppings and enjoy!

Three Bean And Turkey

  • medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • One tsp leaves dried oregano
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 10 cups kidney beans
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 5 cups diced tomatoes
  • Five cups pinto beans
  • 5 cups black beans

 

  1. Combine onion, garlic, carrots, chili powder, oregano, jalapeno, salt and pepper in a 5-quart (or larger) slow cooker; stir. Add remaining ingredients; stir again.
  2. Cover and cook on high setting for 6 to 8 hours.
  3. Yields about 1 cup per serving.
  4. Note: you can start cooking the chili at a high setting so the ingredients quickly reach a safe temperature. You can then reduce the heat to low after 3 to 4 hours, if you prefer.
